Back to What We Believe

Do you ever feel alone or insignificant?  Do you ever wonder if someone cares?

God knows your name!

God cares about you!

God has a plan for you!

But now, this is what the Lord says—
    he who created you, Jacob,
    he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.  Isaiah 43:1

God made all things in love. (Ephesians 1)

But people reject God's ways and look to their own ways. (Isaiah 53:6, Romans 3:23)

From before creation, God had a plan in place to restore people's relationship with Him. (I Peter 1:20, II Timothy 1:9)

All things in history - past, present, and future - are seen through the cross of Jesus and His empty tomb.

God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. John 3:16-17

What does this have to do with you?

Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.  But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.  John 20:30-31

Jesus Himself prayed for you.

“My prayer is not for them [the Apostles] alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message. John 17:20

God loves you!

God's grace is a free gift to you in Jesus Christ!

What now?

37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.    Acts 2:37-39

God promises His presence with you throughout life until the day we are all together with Him for eternity.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth,  John 14:16

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.  Matthew 28:20

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:7

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers... and day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.  Acts 2:42, 46-47
